Our mission is to foster a vibrant and inclusive community for families who have children with special needs through the transformative power of compassion and connection. We wholeheartedly believe that everyone, regardless of their abilities, deserves love, support, and the opportunity to thrive within a nurturing environment. We are dedicated to creating a community in which not only each child in the foundation can feel loved and cared for, but where the entire special community can be welcomed with open arms. We are committed to building a community that celebrates individual uniqueness while forging strong bonds of togetherness.

Our Roots

About

     A mother of a child with Down syndrome, who is also a children's art teacher, had a small wish eighteen years ago. She hoped to devote herself to teaching art to children with special needs because she believed that art could enrich lives. This wish came true in 2017 when Love Me Love Us began with teaching art and gradually expanded to music, sports, and tutoring. ​  To date, Love Me. Love Us have reached over 100 special needs families and over 200 high school volunteers, and we have organized over a hundred events. We not only love families with special needs; we are families with special needs! So we are called "Love Me. Love Us“!​   We believe that with love, we can build a community where life can be enriched, souls can be enlightened, and potentials can be empowered!

Programs

  • Love Art: Through free art workshops, we inspire children with special needs to explore their
    creativity and refine their fine motor skills.

  • Love Sports: Our free basketball and soccer camps empower children with special needs to stay active and build meaningful mentor relationships.

  • Love Learning: We provide free one-on-one virtual /in person tutoring sessions, fostering academic growth and lasting connections.

  • Love Music: Children with special needs can experience the joy of music through our enriching music camps.

  • Youth Leadership and Volunteerism:
    We empower high school students to join us in serving those in need, nurturing a community where compassion knows no boundaries.

  • Fundraising for Love:

         We sustain our efforts through fundraising initiatives, including art show tickets and 

         merchandise created by our special artists, as well as the sale of locally donated second-   

         hand goods.
